| Prof. Craig M. Crews is among the worldwide leaders in the field of Chemical Biology. His research at the interface of chemistry and biology is characterized by exceptional relevance. It embraces the analysis of the biological activity of natural products, in particular the identification of their cellular targets, the total synthesis of natural products as well as far reaching investigations in Chemical Genetics. He worked extensively on angiogenesis, i. e. the formation of new blood vessels and the degradation of proteins by the proteasome. |
